Fingerprinting & Background-Check Services

Every Vettr service is built for institutional compliance requirements — from single-applicant live scan to enterprise-volume on-site deployments.

Digital Capture

Live Scan Fingerprinting

Digital fingerprint capture transmitted directly to FBI and state criminal repositories. Live scan eliminates paper handling, significantly reduces submission rejection rates, and accelerates processing timelines for pre-employment, licensing, and regulatory submissions.

Each live scan session is conducted by a trained Vettr technician who reviews print quality before transmission. Applicants receive clear preparation guidance, and your organisation receives submission confirmation with a tracking reference.

Traditional Ink

FD-258 Ink Card Services

For submissions requiring the traditional FBI FD-258 ink card format — including immigration applications, certain federal licensing requirements, and international background check submissions — Vettr provides professionally administered ink card fingerprinting.

Each card is completed by trained technicians following FBI formatting standards. Cards are reviewed for legibility before being returned to the applicant or forwarded to the relevant authority, depending on your workflow.

  • Accepted for USCIS immigration submissions and federal licensing
  • Required format for many international background check requests
  • Completed to FBI formatting standards and reviewed before release
  • Multiple cards available per session when required
Enterprise

Volume & Bulk Processing

Organisations with recurring or high-volume fingerprinting requirements — healthcare networks onboarding clinical staff, education authorities processing teaching applicants, employers conducting annual re-screens — need a service partner that can handle scale without creating administrative burden.

Vettr provides coordinated scheduling, volume pricing, centralised reporting, and dedicated account support for organisations processing multiple applicants on a regular basis. We work around your onboarding cycle, not the other way around.

Our mobile deployment includes the necessary equipment and trained personnel to process applicants efficiently at your facility. Advance planning with your HR or facilities team ensures the session runs smoothly with minimal disruption to operations.

Compliance Reporting & Documentation

Fingerprint submissions are only one part of the compliance picture. Vettr provides structured reporting that meets your HR, legal, and regulatory documentation requirements — not generic confirmation emails.

Each completed submission is accompanied by chain-of-custody documentation. Results are delivered securely to your designated authorised contact, and records are maintained for reconciliation and audit purposes in accordance with applicable retention requirements.

  • Chain-of-custody documentation from capture through result delivery
  • Secure result delivery to your designated authorised contact
  • Consent documentation managed as part of every submission
  • Records structured for HR, legal, and regulatory review
  • Reconciliation support for batch processing

Frequently Asked Questions

Applicants must bring valid, government-issued photo identification to their appointment. Acceptable forms include a passport, state driving licence, or federal or state government-issued ID card. The name on the ID must match the name on the fingerprint submission form.
A standard live scan appointment takes approximately 15–20 minutes for a single applicant, including paperwork review, identity verification, and capture. Group or cohort sessions are planned around your specific volume and logistical requirements.
For live scan submissions with clean records, results are typically returned within 48–72 hours. Records with additional review requirements may take longer; the repository (FBI or state) controls the final processing timeline. FD-258 ink card submissions sent directly to the FBI typically take 7–10 business days.
Vettr handles FBI national fingerprint submissions and Florida state (FDLE) submissions. For applicants who require background checks through another specific state's repository, we recommend confirming the submission pathway required by the relevant authority. Contact us to discuss your specific requirements.
All prints are reviewed for quality before submission. In cases where a repository rejects a submission for print quality, Vettr will coordinate a reprint appointment. Our quality review process is designed to minimise rejection rates before submission.
Vettr's mobile on-site service currently operates across South Florida and the Greater New York metropolitan area. For organisations with requirements in other locations, please contact us — we will assess your needs and advise on the best available options.
